Cockroach trap and Cockroaches trapped

Whilst on residencies in both Indonesia and Malaysia, I kept encountering cockroaches in my accommodation, but could not find adequate traps in local shops in either country. I imported a cockroach trap from Japan, which came in the shape of a house. This trap worked by enticing cockroaches into the house using smell, at which point they became stuck. Modifying the Japanese traps, I began to make a series of paper houses to capture cockroaches, in the traditional style design of each country, whilst on each of my subsequent residencies.
